06.12.06 - Impact moving to 0.0 Territory

Good day to you all, Moving is a change most people experience at least once. Whether the relocation takes you down the sector or across a region, it can prove to be a challenging time. The Impact Corporation, since its creation, has always dreamed of finding the right path into 0.0 for its members. With it's recent acceptance into the ranks of SERENUS LETUM {S-L}, that dream has become a reality today. For the first time it is within all our capacity and ability to reach for the dream which this corporation and its members have set out to achieve. To become a 0.0 corporation with all the inherent benefits that come with being one. Having excellent mining and ratting grounds, having our own POS (Player-Owned-Structure) to call home and to be part of a truely powerfull alliance. To reflect those benefits on all Impact members and to make something that is especially real for it's members. We can do this now, and I believe we have taken the first few steps on thiat road today.

For those of you who where not present earlier today, the Administrative Services Team have all agreed that moving with SERENUS LETUM to 0.0 would be in the best interests of achieving the above-mentioned goals of the corporation. As such it was decided to initiate planning on preparing to move the corporation to 0.0.

This means that Impact will be implementing our departure for a 0.0 space. We will be setting up our POS out here, and an Outpost with our Alliance and J-Ops Coalition partners. The struggle to do this is about to begin. But we will suceed in our efforts because we are a Team.

20.11.06 - Impact joins Serenus Letum Alliance

Ladies and Gentlemen, Good day to you all, thank you for your attention on this most important of occasions. It is a great honour and a privilege for me, as Vice-CEO and Diplomatic Relations Officer, of the Impact Corporation, to be speaking to you all today. The acceptance of Impact to enter into membership with the Serenus Letum Alliance {S-L} was a vindication of the vision of those who have, for a long time sought to anchor Impact firmly to an alliance with which it shares democratic values. It is a testament to the hard work of all of us who have been involved in making that vision a reality. We have stayed the course, and we have overcome many obstacles along that way. But we have obtained membership nonetheless.

So your asking 'what will membership in SERENUS LETUM {S-L} mean for Impact, and for its members?' Let me give you the three most important answers:

First, Impact will join an extremely powerful and cohesive Alliance - an Alliance that unites corps in both Empire and 0.0 space. This will give Impact a new sense of security. But it will also change the perception others may have of the Impact Corporation. The regional community will recognise that Impact has entered a unique zone of security. And we all know that investment and prosperity flourish best in a secure environment. (MOD speaking here... hehe)

The second great benefit of SERENUS LETUM membership is a seat at the top table when crucial decisions are being made. Over the past while, S-L has been shaping the security environment in and around Olide in many different ways. Thanks to S-L's decisions, the security climate in the area has improved consistently. As an S-L member, Impact will take part in these decisions, rather than sitting on the sidelines. And, as the result of recent agreements with Catalyst Reaction {HASTE}, it will have a bigger role in the Security and Defence Policy, while HASTE are busy fighting down south.

Thirdly, membership in S-L means that Impact's voice in regional relations will be amplified. S-L acts on the basis of consensus. This means that even the smallest corporation in S-L has the same status as the largest. Impact has a voice equal to that of the of the other corps. Most of which are at the same membership size as Impact. That said, dedication to S-L is a never-ending effort, and Impact, like the other corps, has to keep focussing on this issue. As a former CEO, I know that it requires political courage and determination to pursue these demands. But I am very confident about Impact's ability to see this through. Because we have a track record which inspires confidence.

Ladies and Gentlemen, These are times of great change and great turmoil in regional security. The past while and in particular the past month, have made it clear that our security cannot be taken for granted. We face great security challenges, and unpredictable threats. There is no better way to face such threats and challenges than as part of a community. Becoming a member of Serenus Letum means never to have to worry to face a security problem alone. The entry of Impact into S-L will be a vindication of your corp's achievements. Above all, however, it will be a strong vindication of the idea of an enduring Common Defence Community, in which many corps work together to safeguard the security of current and future developments.

8.11.06 - Constellation Co-Op

Good day to you all, thank you for your attention on this very important announcement. Impact Inc. will be this Sunday, September 10th, be participating in a constellation-wide mining Co-Op in the Elarel system. The operation is the result of an idea concieved by 'Angel Security Forces' who will be suppling security in conjunction with our own TAC forces for the event, which will inculde several other corporations intent on minng 'safely' in that system. As I'm sure you are all aware, Elarel is situated to the North-East of Olide, exactly 2 jumps away. It is a notorious place for pirating and has no stations whatsoever.

The cornerstone thinking of the event is to encourage friendly relations between the corps in the constellation and also to provide a safe loaction to mine in. No doubt pirates will have something to say about it! But hey they don't care about killing us, so we don't care about preventing them! Miners from all respective corps will be free to mine without fear and it is this exact ideal that is the reason for this great event.

Impact will be one of those corps, we are proud to be part of such great cooperative events and will of course promote it amongst our allies and friends. this is a great opportunity for Impact to show other corps that we engage in practices like this and that we have members who are proud to stick it to the pirates! hehe
